Look-alike booking sites and apps
Look-alike websites and listings use the names of temple lodges such as Mallikarjuna Sadan, and sometimes AP Tourism’s Haritha Hotel, then take an advance payment. When pilgrims arrive, the counter has no booking.
What to do. Book rooms and tickets only on www.srisailadevasthanam.org or www.aptemples.ap.gov.in. Nobody from the temple or endowments department will ask you to send PhonePe or Google Pay to a personal account; treat that as fraud and call the information centre on 8333901351.

Refund escalation room scam
After a small payment to book a room at Vysya Satram, callers demand extra GST, then a tiny refund fee, then larger “server” payments that keep rising. The original stay is cancelled while the extra transfers continue.
What to do. If a booking is cancelled, do not send more money for GST, refunds, or server charges. Stop contact and file a cybercrime complaint instead of paying to unlock a refund.
