The hilltop shrine of Vijayawada on the Indrakeeladri hill, overlooking the Krishna river. Kanaka Durga sits on Indrakeeladri hill, surrounded on three sides by the Krishna river. The temple is the presiding deity of the city of Vijayawada and the host of the Navaratri festival's most famous celebrations.

Callers pretend to be from the temple, offer puja in your name and gotra, and say they will send the goddess’s silk sarees home, then ask for money, OTPs or bank details.
What to do. The temple does not phone devotees to collect donations. Use only the official website, the information centre, or Mana Mitra WhatsApp for tickets and sevas, and never share OTPs, UPI links or account numbers.

Thieves open parked cars at the Om Turning parking area while families are inside for darshan and take handbags or gold left in the vehicle.
