Unauthorised whatsapp darshan agents
Private WhatsApp groups and look-alike email addresses offer to arrange darshan or offerings and then collect payment. Guruvayur Devaswom has not authorised any agency or group to do this.
What to do. Use only guruvayurdevaswom.in or the temple counters for darshan and vazhipadu. Report any such group to the Devaswom helpline on 0487-2556335.

In the darshan queue
“VIP” and “quick darshan” passes
People around the shrine take money from devotees and use local influence to put them into a special queue. That is not the Devaswom’s own ghee-lamp special darshan ticket.
What to do. Buy official special darshan only as the Devaswom ghee-lamp ticket, Rs 1,000 for one person or Rs 4,500 for five. Token VIP darshan also needs an Aadhaar card at the counter.
