ਫਾਲਗੁ ਨਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੁ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੈਰ ਦਾ ਗਯਾ ਦਾ ਪੁਣੇ ਸਥਾਨ, ਪਿੰਡਾ ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਵਜਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼੍ਰਾਦਧ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ। ਵਿਸ਼ਨੁਪਦ ਮੰਦਰ ਗਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਾਲਗੁ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੁ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਲਗਭਗ 40 ਸੈਂਟੀਮੀਟਰ ਲੰਬਾ ਹੈ, ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਬਰਤਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਜਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੁ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੈਰ ਰਾਖਸ਼ ਗਯਾਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਪੂਰਵਜਾਂ ਲਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ। ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੰਡਾ ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰਾਦਧ ਕਰਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਛੜੀਆਂ ਆਤਮਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ। ਯਾਤਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਰਸਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਲਓ।
