13ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸੂਰਜ ਮੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਪੱਥਰੀ ਰੱਥ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਲਪਿਤ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਘੋੜੇ ਖਿੱਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ 'ਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਉੱਕਰੇ ਪਹੀਏ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ। ਕੋਣਾਰਕ ਦਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਮੰਦਰ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੇਵ ਦੇ ਰੱਥ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਚਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਵੀ ਉੱਕਰੇ ਪਹੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਦੌੜਦੇ ਪੱਥਰੀ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੋਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਿਖਰ ਢਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਬਾਕੀ ਬਚੀ ਇਮਾਰਤ ਕਲਿੰਗ ਇਮਾਰਤਸਾਜ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਲਪਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਹਕਾਰ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪਹੀਏ ਧੁੱਪ-ਘੜੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਬੀਤਣ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Sellers on bicycles and motorcycles, and shops in the tourist zone, offer sealed packets as premium local cashews at about Rs 600 a kilogram. After the sale, visitors find only a thin top layer of good nuts, with the rest peanuts, ramdana, or spoiled cashews.
