Read this reference to Panchang, tithi, nakshatra and traditional rules for Naamkaran Muhurat. For major decisions, also consider your birth Kundli and local time.

Choose your city. Only dates whose tithi or nakshatra matches this guide, without a tithi the guide says to avoid, are shown.
Choose a city before checking dates.
Still verify the weekday, Rahu Kaal and the other rules above before fixing a date.
Naamkaran is traditionally performed on the 11th day (Ekadashaha) after the baby's birth, or on the 101st day. If the 11th day is inauspicious, a nearby auspicious muhurta is chosen.
The baby's birth nakshatra determines the first syllable of the name. Each nakshatra has four padas (quarters), each with a specific Sanskrit syllable. For example, Ashwini Nakshatra's syllables are Chu, Che, Cho, La. The baby's name should ideally begin with the syllable corresponding to its birth nakshatra's pada.
