Raghunathji Temple

कुल्लू घाटी का यह राजसी तीर्थ 17वीं शताब्दी में अयोध्या से लाया गया था और दशहरे का केंद्र-बिंदु है। रघुनाथजी कुल्लू घाटी के अधिष्ठात्री देवता हैं और उसके प्रसिद्ध दशहरा उत्सव के केंद्र-बिंदु हैं। कहा जाता है कि यह प्रतिमा 17वीं शताब्दी में अयोध्या से लाई गई थी।

Station and bus stand

  • Prices well above the going rate

    Auto-rickshaw drivers on short town routes in Kullu, including the Dhalpur bus stand and Akhara Bazar below the temple, often ask visitors far more than the listed fare and do not show a fare chart.

    What to do. Ask to see the approved fare list before you ride, and hire from the union stand. The district transport office has told operators to follow the submitted rate lists; you can also call the tourist helpline 1363.

    Taxi drivers and street touts steer visitors into local shops that sell factory-made shawls as genuine Kullu handloom, often for a commission. Copies from outside the valley are also sold around the Kullu Dussehra gathering at Dhalpur.

    What to do. Buy woollens at the Himachal Emporium in Kullu, or look for the Geographical Indication mark on a genuine shawl. Decline shopping stops suggested by a driver or a stranger on the street.
